If you’re seeking relief from patterns of emotional or physical discomfort and aren’t ready to look at beliefs and perceptions, the Emotion Code® is the best place to begin. If you feel ready to take a more hands-on role in creating new patterns and beliefs, PSYCH-K® would be the best choice.

Yes. Both PSYCH-K® and Emotion Code® are safe, gentle, and non-invasive processes. Both participant and facilitator remain fully conscious at all times. Nothing is forced, and we always work with intention for the highest good of the participant.

Yes. Both PSYCH-K® and the Emotion Code® work beautifully alongside other healing approaches such as therapy, coaching, medical treatment, and spiritual practices. You can safely continue with any existing work you’re doing while incorporating these modalities. If anything, they will enhance the effectiveness of other methods.

Muscle testing, also known as applied kinesiology, is a form of biofeedback that measures the body’s response to specific stimuli or statements. A muscle temporarily weakens when the body experiences stress or incongruence, and stays strong when there is alignment. This technique provides a way to access subconscious information that can guide emotional and energetic healing.
In PSYCH-K® and Emotion Code® sessions, muscle testing helps identify limiting beliefs or trapped energies and ensures that every step of the process is safe and appropriate.

With consent, the facilitator uses muscle testing as a surrogate for the participant, allowing communication with the subconscious mind to occur through energetic connection rather than physical contact. This process works because, at the level of consciousness, there is no separation in time or space. The effectiveness of distance sessions is the same as in-person work.
All sessions are conducted with clear permission, confidentiality, and respect for energetic boundaries.

You may select your preference for video or phone at the time of booking. Note: regardless of your selection, your confirmation email will automatically include a Google Meet link.
If you choose a video session, simply use the Google Meet link to join at the scheduled time. If you choose a phone session, you’ll receive a call from Lauren at the number provided during booking.

No. Emotion Code® and PSYCH-K® are energy healing modalities that can and very often do improve health outcomes. That said, they are best understood as supportive complements to any care you may already be receiving.

Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before an appointment are not refundable.

Yes. Your privacy is very important to me. Your contact and scheduling details are stored securely and used only for communication and session purposes. They will never be sold or shared with outside parties.
Sessions are not recorded, and all conversations are confidential. Your personal information or status as a client will never be shared unless Inner Life Aligned, LLC is compelled by law.
Session recap summaries will be sent via email after each session unless you request otherwise.

Emotion Code®

Experiences vary from person to person. With the Emotion Code®, many people feel lighter and calmer right away, while others notice shifts in the coming days. Some experience both.
The changes you feel may also depend on what you are releasing. For example, those releasing anxiety may feel calmer and more grounded, while those releasing heaviness or depression often feel more energized.
A smaller percentage of people may feel tired, extra thirsty, or a little “off” for a day or two as their bodies process and integrate the releases. Again, it depends on what a person is carrying and what is being released. All of these responses are normal.
We recommend drinking plenty of water, resting if you feel tired, and setting an intention for a gentle, easy processing experience.

It depends on your unique situation. A single session can go a long way, and sometimes that’s all a person needs for a single intention. Other conditions may require more sessions.
This question is a bit like asking, “How long will it take to clean my home?” The answer depends on whether you are working with a small, relatively clean apartment or large house that hasn’t been cleaned in years.
The same is true with energy work. A practitioner can’t don’t know what trapped emotions you are carrying, or how the subconscious mind will prioritize releasing them. We do know that every single session creates benefit. It’s best to stay focused on doing as much as we can do in any given session, and celebrate the progress we make.

Please make sure you have a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the session. Be sober, fully present, and well-hydrated. At the beginning of each session, we will ground ourselves with a few moments of silence and proceed with a clear intention. There is no need to prepare anything else in advance.

A Heart-Wall® forms when the subconscious mind uses trapped emotions to create a protective barrier around the heart. This can happen after painful or traumatic experiences, when the subconscious mind believes it is safer to shield the heart from further pain. While this protective barrier helps in the short term, over time it may interfere with the ability to give and receive love freely, feel connected with others, or fully experience joy.
The Emotion Code® can gently identify and release the trapped emotions that make up the Heart-Wall®, allowing the heart to be more open and available for connection. It can take between one and five sessions to fully clear a Heart-Wall®, depending on individual circumstances.

Each release is permanent, although there can be multiple instances of the same type of trapped emotion in the body. For example, someone with unprocessed anxiety from different experiences may carry several distinct trapped anxiety emotions, each of which needs to be released individually. Thankfully the process of releasing them one at a time is gentle and efficient.

Yes. Animals can also carry trapped emotions that influence their behavior, health, and overall well-being. Sometimes these emotions arise from their own experiences, and other times they are absorbed from their human companions. Releasing these emotions can help them feel calmer, safer, and more balanced.
Animal sessions tend to move more quickly for a handful of reasons. Sometimes they can be completed in as little as 10-15 minutes. I typically offer this work for existing clients, either as part of an extended session or by separate arrangement when it feels appropriate. PSYCH-K®

Experiences vary from person to person. With PSYCH-K®, it is common to leave a session with fresh insights, a renewed sense of possibility, or a feeling of neutrality around topics that once created stress. As with the Emotion Code®, shifts may be noticeable right away or may unfold more subtly over time.
Because this work takes place at the subconscious level, it can be helpful to take aligned action steps within a few days of your session to reinforce the new patterns in your conscious mind. These action steps will be discussed at the end of each session.

It depends on your goals, the beliefs you hold about yourself and the world, and your readiness and willingness to change.

Limiting beliefs are assumptions we hold about ourselves or the world that restrict our potential to grow or thrive in the ways that matter most to us. For example, someone may want to release excess weight but carry a subconscious belief that being at a lighter weight would attract unwanted attention and make them unsafe. Because the subconscious mind prioritizes protection, it will resist any change that seems to threatens its idea of safety, even when the conscious mind desires it.
Sample goal statements for this person might include, “It’s safe for me to feel comfortable and confident in my body,” or “It’s truly okay for me to set and maintain healthy boundaries.” When the subconscious mind is aligned with our conscious intentions, it supports our goals instead of sabotaging them.

A PSYCH-K® Balance is a process that creates balanced communication between both hemispheres of the brain. This Whole-Brain state is ideal for reprogramming the subconscious mind with beliefs that support your goals and intentions. Most balances are completed within a few minutes.

PSYCH-K® differs from most other approaches because it does not require the disclosure of personal history or an understanding of root causes. It works directly with the subconscious mind to create change.
One of the best things about PSYCH-K® is the fact that once a limiting belief is identified, there is a clear process for transforming it right away. In traditional coaching or talk therapy, you may gain awareness of a limiting belief but still feel uncertain about how to shift it, often meeting subconscious resistance when the session is over and it’s time to take action steps. With PSYCH-K®, that resistance is addressed right away, making it easier to take aligned action steps after the session.
Thankfully, the process is also different from other approaches in that it does not involve hypnosis, drugs, plant medicines, or other substances that may produce unwanted side effects.

Yes. I am a PSYCH-K® Preferred Facilitator and have completed the Advanced Integration, Master Facilitation, and Health and Wellbeing Programs. I’m comfortable facilitating the Relationship Balance and other Advanced Balances. These processes are available for returning clients who have completed at least one PSYCH-K® session with me.
