Emotion Code® and Body Code®

What is Emotion Code?

Emotion Code® is a simple and effective process for releasing trapped emotions, developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson. Using muscle testing to communicate with the subconscious mind, trapped emotions are brought to awareness and gently released through the governing meridian of the body. Each release helps restore the body’s natural balance.

Many will be relieved to learn that Emotion Code® does not require emoting. The process works energetically, often without any visible catharsis.

Many people notice meaningful shifts, including:

  • Relief from physical discomfort and tension

  • Reduced emotional reactivity

  • Freedom from unwanted patterns and addictions

  • Improved energy and vitality

  • Increased clarity and confidence

What is Body Code?

Body Code builds upon the principles of Emotion Code by expanding the scope of what we assess and address. While Emotion Code focuses specifically on trapped emotional energy, Body Code looks at the body as an integrated energetic system.

In addition to emotional imbalances, Body Code can identify and correct contributing factors such as:

  • Energetic misalignments

  • Stress patterns held within systems and organs

  • Nutritional, biochemical, or environmental stressors

  • Structural or circuitry-related imbalances

These layers often interact. Emotional energy may be one piece of a larger picture, or it may be intertwined with other forms of stress that keep patterns in place.

Body Code allows us to work with this complexity without forcing linear explanations. The body communicates what it needs support with next, and we follow that guidance respectfully and efficiently.

This approach is especially helpful when symptoms or patterns feel persistent, multi-layered, or resistant to change.

What should I expect in a session? 

Sessions begin with a brief conversation about your intention. We then use muscle testing to communicate with the subconscious mind and identify trapped emotions that are ready to be released.

For example, we ask: “Is there an underlying imbalance that we can address that is contributing to this condition?” or “Is there something we can do to help with this intention?”

Before each release, we ask the subconscious mind whether or not the conscious mind needs any additional information to complete the process. In many cases, the answer is “no.” In other cases, we’ll clarify the approximate age of occurrence or the life event associated with the trapped emotion. This clarification also happens through muscle testing with simple yes/no answers, so in-depth discussion is not required.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, there’s no need to discuss personal history or analyze root causes. These approaches can be valuable in other contexts, but they are not part of the Emotion Code or Body Code process.

In many cases, shifts are felt immediately, in other cases the shifts become more apparent in the days that follow. Every person is unique, but it’s common to feel lighter as the session progresses and be pleasantly surprised by the changes that unfold in the coming days and weeks.
